How to join the Club:
Parents / Guardians will need to fill out a Liability Release form and have the athlete take it with them to their first practice. Look for the release form on Final Forms.
(USATF membership is NOT required to be part of the club at this time unless the athelte wants to compete in a USATF-sanctioned meet.)
Head over to the USATF membership page and sign up. Choose either an Individual Student ($38.88) or an Individual Adult ($71.96) membership.
[prices quoted from USATF website on 6/4/26].
During the USATF registration process, you may request to be associated with the Olympic Peninsula Striders club (WA-36-11286).
If you miss the association step, it's OK. You can follow the directions in the next section if you want to become associated with the club later.
(USATF members can compete as individuals, or they may compete under the OPS club banner. For those who want to be associated with this club, follow the instructions below.)
You will need to follow the steps below to complete the process to transfer your individual membership to the club membership:
Member Login: Log in to your USATF Connect portal.
Access Profile: Click on "View profile" on the Home screen or select your name after clicking the "Members" tab on left side of the screen.
Navigate to Memberships (The menu says Profile, then Roles, then Memberships, then Background Screening, etc.): Select the Memberships tab.
Initiate Transfer: Click the three dots on the far right (Actions). Then choose the Transfers option from the drop-down menu, and then click the blue "Start Transfer" button.
Select Club: Search for and select our specific club (Olympic Peninsula Striders, WA-36-11286), confirm it is not a temporary move, and submit the request.
Association Transfer (if applicable): If our OPS club is in a different region than where the athlete lives, they may also be required to submit an Association Transfer or Youth Rule 300 Waiver.
Your transfer will be "in progress" until it is approved by USATF. At that time you will be added to the OPS club roster and the Admin will accept you into the group.
